Community Voice
Listening to families to better serve our schools and children. I have served for many years on the State School Board Trust Land Advisory Committee which also deals with School Community Councils. I want help ensure support for each school have a successful SCC.
Education Focus
Prioritizing resources for classroom success and student well-being. The taxpayers should be able to know where their money is being spent and have a voice through their representation in this matter.

Better Funding
Advocating for equitable school budgets happens a lot at the legislature and I have had many years of experience doing this. Equitable doesn't necessarily mean equal. Some schools and students may face more challenges than other and need more funding.
Appropriate Technology Usage
Having students use technology the appropriate amount of time according age and subject. Many parents are right in being concerned about their students having too much screen time. We should be following research based models based on age for our children. And listening to parents' concerns.
Community
Building strong local partnerships. This can be done through School Community Councils. Also, by including parents and other patrons on school and district committees whenever possible. I was on various committee when I worked in Granite. Calendar Committee was one that included parents.
Inclusion
Supporting diversity in schools. This means all students. Students with disabilities, students of different ethnic backgrounds, and students of who speak languages other than English.
